Our Story

Dr. Ghassan Al-Jazayrly founded California Research Institute out of his passion for finding an alternative treatment for the patients in his private practice. As a Board Certified Oncologist, Dr. Al-Jazayrly understands that time is of the essence for patients combating cancer, and access to novel and experimental treatments could be the difference between life and death.

Dr. Al-Jazayrly is a staff member of multiple hospitals, including Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, Glendale Memorial Hospital, and Adventist Health - Glendale. He has been practicing Oncology for more than 20 years.

Research Site Information

California Research Institute (CRI) is an independent Phase I to IV research site. Our goal is to work towards reducing patient disparities and advancing medical research. The multi-specialty therapeutic areas we cover enables us to contribute in the development of medicine and science. We are constantly innovating our strategies and methods to find the most efficient treatment and diagnostic methods for developing better patient outcomes. Our clinical research team are licensed and certified individuals in the healthcare and clinical research profession. Our objective is to implement subject safety while participating in research and the efficient conduct of clinical trials. Our research site ensures that data management, clinical laboratory, information technology, quality assurance, full time staff, recruitment and retention, contracts and budget, regulatory affairs, and pharmacy are continuously updated.

Patient Database

California Research Institute has an enormous untapped patient population that can meet the studies recruitment goals. Our research site has access to Dr. Al-Jazayrly’s medical group database comprising of 10 private practices.

Facilities & Logistics

Our research site has multiple physicians available to meet the demands of the different therapeutic areas of clinical trials, specifically Oncology, Rheumatology, Endocrine and Metabolics, Women’s Health, Pulmonary Medicine, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology and Psychiatry. Our research staff is multilingual and the facility includes a laboratory, 5 exam rooms, 10-seat capacity Infusion Center, secured double-locked, limited access Storage Room for IP’s, monitoring room. We maintain the necessary medical equipment to conduct and interpret diagnostic exams. Also, our research facility have access to the hospital for additional diagnostic testing.

Our research site is centrally located in the greater Los Angeles area and close to the Los Angeles International Airport and Hollywood Burbank Airport.
